REEL Young Adult Program

Why?

Youth is the hope of our future. - José Rizal
According to the World Health Organisation, one of the leading causes of death among youth aged 14-29 is suicide.
This program is our response to this alarming trend, to support young people as the custodians of our collective future.

What?

Young people are faced with many challenges. These challenges whether at home, school or socially can impact their physical, emotional and mental well-being. Coupled with significant changes occurring in teens’ developing brains, navigating life can feel particularly daunting often making it difficult to find balance and clarity.
Furthermore, research from the World Health Organisation says that 50% of mental health conditions start by age 14, most undetected and untreated. However, the encouraging news is that studies have demonstrated that well-being is a skill that can be learned; it’s really no different than learning to play the piano. Like any worthwhile pursuit, if one practices well-being skills, one will get better at it.
Our BEING WELL program is inspired by the research of the Centre for Healthy Minds which affirms that people can flourish through practicing the 4 pillars of:
awareness
connection
insight &
purpose
Whilst our program includes mindfulness it goes beyond that, providing tools and reflective exercises to nurture the development of these pillars.    The program generally runs **over 8 weeks, consisting of 1 hour in person or online sessions. These sessions are designed especially for young people, equipping them with the ability to connect with their innate wisdom.

The benefits of the REEL program:

regulate stress

empower young people to realize their full potential
adapt better and thrive in spite of life’s stresses
enhance confidence and develop a growth mindset
sharpen focus and concentration
foster meaningful connections to build a thriving & resilient community

elevate performance

Why our program?

Likelihood to Recommend (LTR)

This is a strong indicator of perceived value. Achieving a 100% LTR score in a post program survey is theoretically possible, but it's extremely rare to achieve in real-world scenarios. Our LTR score for the pilot program is 100%, with a survey response rate of 86.7%, which is also a strong indicator of perceived value & relevance of our program.

**We follow an iterative approach to project & design thinking, centering the needs of our program audience and adapting our offerings accordingly.
